Lucas Isiah Brown

born and raised in Orlando, Florida, LUCAS grew up in a quiet suburb with his two brothers and loving parents. They instilled in him a passion for the arts from a young age. His parents, both RETIRED professional athletes, inspired a deep, fervent drive within him which he brings to all his work as an actor.

Lucas has been fortunate to receive training at top acting institutions, including Interlochen Arts Academy, commonly regarded as one of the top performing arts high schools in the world. He has also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London (RADA) and is currently pursuing his BFA in Acting at the Boston University School of Theatre, his dream school.

In his work, Lucas is drawn to stories rich in complexity, particularly those that explore how two "opposites" can coexist, such as beauty and ugliness, loneliness and community, and right and wrong. He is passionate about amplifying Black voices and uplifting his community's stories. Additionally, he is a strong believer in radical kindness, seeing the pursuit of becoming a better actor and a better person as intertwined endeavors.

Outside of the theatre, Lucas enjoys reading (his favorite author is Hanya Yanagihara), sketching, eating sushi, and listening to Nina Simone. He hopes to play characters who, no matter what, dig into their gut and fight for what and whom they love.

Lucas is thrilled to present his debut FIlm, "In Between." This film delves into the nuanced dynamics of Friendship and the struggle between personal desires and moral dilemma. He is excited to share this journey with audiences and looks forward to seeing "In Between" resonate on the festival circuit.
